Eye Q speed reading was developed by one of Japan's best brain development researchers, Dr. Akihiro Kawamura, in the 1980's. He has written more than 70 books about the brain and the learning process. Over the years, he has helped both Japanese and Americans to effectively enhance brain power.

Like many other researchers out there, Dr. Kawamura believes that it is important to learn to use the "whole brain" when absorbing any information. In order to increase brain usage when reading, he created the system. Eye Q was regarded as a very effective brain enhancement exercise that helps users to read and process information faster. We all know that all the words we read are absorbed by our eyes and then processed by the brain. One of the ways to improve our information retrieval skills is to strengthen the eye to brain connection and eliminate factors that hinder from focusing. Eye Q speed reading was developed specifically to help users attain the aforementioned skills.

He made interactive programs such as sessions, games, reading tests, and comprehension tests for people to develop faster eye movement and strengthen sotnavmportant eye muscles. These programs can be adjusted for anyone at any age and any reading level. During first 6 sessions, people showed signs of fatigue in their eye muscles and even experienced headaches. But after that, many have shown significant improvements in both speed and comprehension level.
