Practice speed reading: the key for success

Every single reading course and program out there requires you to constantly practice speed reading in order for you to see improvements. No one can increase their speed significantly in just a day or two. It takes weeks or even months of daily scheduled training for Speed Reading Exercises to be effective. There are some people who still can read fast with less practice, but usually diligent speed readers are the ones who see better result in the end. This is especially true for adults who are accustomed to their bad reading habits. They need more practice and time than younger readers.

Try to set a schedule and read something that interests you. It is generally easier to with newspapers or magazine articles because of their conciseness and thin columns. This helps to practice your visual enhancing exercises by seeing more words in a small area. Practice at least 15 minutes a day. 30 minutes or more is even better. The more you practice, the faster and greater the improvements you will see. Of course, skipping a day or two in a week is okay. Remember that steadiness is the most important key in increasing your reading speed.
